Aniimo Boss Guide
All 17 Alpha and 3 Omega locations, drops, the Break combat loop, weekly Primegy rules, and the endgame challenges waiting past them. Every crafting material and held item in Aniimo funnels through the boss system: Alpha drops power your training, Omega chests hold the rarest rewards, and all of it is rationed by Primegy and weekly limits.

Two Tiers // 01
The Two-Tier Boss System: Alphas and Omegas
Tier 1
Alpha: catchable field minibosses
Alphas are giant, overworld versions of existing species — 17 of them roam Breezy Plains, one per major area (plus extras in the denser zones). They're the game's daily boss content: discoverable on the map, defeatable on repeat, and — uniquely — catchable after you win (see the Alpha capture rules below). Each Alpha is tied to a specific material or held item, which makes them the engine of your training loop.
Tier 2
Omega: the weekly three-try reward chests
Omegas sit one tier above: tougher fights with unique gimmicks, fought against a weekly limit of three attempts total, and paying out much richer rewards — more currency, more experience, more materials — in exchange for more Primegy per attempt. The catch that catches everyone: Omega Aniimo cannot be caught. Pods bounce off them; when you win, the Omega leaves the arena and drops a chest behind. You can still catch the same species in the wild if you want the creature itself.
Primegy: The Battle Ticket
30
Primegy per Alpha/Omega claim
50
Primegy per weekly challenge
240/day
Regen, capped at 300
Every boss fight costs energy. Claiming rewards from an Alpha or Omega costs 30 Primegy per attempt; the weekly Omega/Alpha challenge costs 50 per attempt on top of that. Since Primegy regenerates only about 240 points a day (cap 300), the boss system is a daily budget puzzle: which three fights pay for what you need this week. Plan the week, not the moment.

All 17 Alpha Aniimo: Locations and Drops
The Full Alpha List
The 17 Alphas split cleanly into four drop families — the family you need decides who you fight:
Evolution-stone Alphas — each drops its element stone ×5
| Alpha | Element | Area | Drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Turbo | Wind | Nimbus Fields | Gust Stone |
| Alpha Stellarys | Dark | Forest of Falling Stars | Night Stone |
| Alpha Scorchhowl | Fire | Beast Fang Ridge | Blaze Stone |
| Alpha Leafy | Grass | Mistwoods | Sprout Stone |
| Alpha Glynsera | Ice | Beast Fang Ridge (ice cave) | Freeze Stone |
| Alpha Panpanta | Water | Echoback Landing | Wave Stone |
| Alpha Bouldus | Earth | Berylline Vale | Loam Stone |
| Alpha Blazen | Lightning | Blitzwood | Roar Stone |
Resonance-crystal Alphas — Star-Up material
| Alpha | Element | Area | Drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Tubster | Wind | Argent Strait | Dewdrop Crystal ×60 |
| Alpha Magmarex | Fire | Zephyrus Landbridge | Dewdrop Crystal ×60 |
Core + held-item Alphas — gear upgrades
| Alpha | Element | Area | Drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Ignitis | Dark | Berylline Vale | Basic Core + Ferocious Fang |
| Alpha Grizbo | Earth | Rosetower Woods | Core ×5 + Gargantuan Horn |
| Alpha Geoclaw | Ice | Nimbus Fields (underground) | Core ×5 + Heartseeker Pendant |
| Alpha Minespine | Earth | Beast Fang Ridge (Forgotten Mine) | Core ×5 + Explosive Gloves |
| Alpha Irisal | Grass | Sea of Flowers | Core ×5 + Spirited Feather |
Star-material Alphas — evolution/crafting
| Alpha | Element | Area | Drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Rookey | Dark | Russet Highlands | Star Dust ×5 + Star Sand ×2 |
| Alpha Luminelle | Lightning | Tideblossom Coast | Star Dust ×5 + Star Sand ×2 |
Every first clear also pays Glimmer, a Safaris bonus (a currency awarded as a first-clear reward; its exact use isn't documented yet), an Irisalis Petal, and a Lumin Amber for Breezy Plains.
How Alpha Catching Works
Alphas are the only bosses you can capture, and the rule is unusual: 0% catch chance while alive, 6% after you defeat them in battle. You can't kill one accidentally or waste pods mid-fight — the timed capture attempt starts after the win, using a free pod. Every pod has an extremely low chance on an Alpha, so Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube is the guaranteed route. Even a failed catch pays: complete the attempt and spend 30 Primegy, and the rewards still drop. Always take the throw.
Drop Quality Scales With Your Title
Special Rookie → Student II
100% rare
Student III / Wayfarer I
75% rare / 25% epic
Wayfarer II onward
80% epic / 20% legendary
This is the detail that changes farming strategy: your title rank decides the rarity of the held items Alphas drop. Early titles (Special Rookie through Student II) get 100% rare items; Student III and Wayfarer I mix 75% rare / 25% epic; and from Wayfarer II onward the split flips to 80% epic / 20% legendary. Translation: don't grind for legendary held items before Wayfarer II — you're literally locked out of the drop. Rush the title first, then farm.
Omega Bosses // 03
All 3 Omega Aniimo: Locations and Rules
The Omega List
| Omega | Element | Area | First-Clear Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Omega Tuckin | Grass | Mistwoods (north of the Bloom, burrowed by a big tree) | Dewdrop Crystal ×100 |
| Young Omega Sherro | Water | Echoback Landing (island NW of Beachside Sandbars Bloom) | Star Dust ×10 + Star Sand ×4 |
| Omega Infergon | Fire | Russet Highlands (south of the Bloom) | Starcryst Essence ×2 |
Plus the universal first-clear payouts: Glimmer ×100, Safaris ×800, and Lumin Amber ×2. The Starcryst Essence from Omega Infergon is the newest endgame material, so expect it to show up in high-tier crafting.
How Omega Battles Differ
Unique gimmicks
Mechanic-heavy phases beyond the standard boss toolkit, rather than raw stat walls.
Three attempts per week
A hard weekly cap — every try has to count.
Can't be caught
Win and a chest appears in the arena instead.
Three things set Omegas apart: each has unique fight gimmicks beyond the standard boss toolkit (mechanic-heavy phases rather than raw stat walls); they're capped at three attempts per week; and they can't be caught — win and a chest appears in the arena instead. Treat Omega attempts as the weekly priority: they're the biggest single payouts per Primegy in the game.
The Break Loop // 04
How to Actually Win: The Break Loop
Break: The Core Combat Loop
01
Attack to fill the Break meter
02
Trigger the Break state
×1.5 damage
03
Unload while staggered
Alpha catches: ×3
Every boss fight in Aniimo runs on the same loop: attack to fill the Break meter, trigger the Break state, then unload while the boss is staggered. The Break window is where the real damage happens — a boss in Break state takes ×1.5 damage — and it's also the capture window for Alphas (Break catches get a ×3 bonus). A team without a dedicated Break unit fights in slow motion; a team that chains Breaks ends fights in one or two cycles. This is why the Break role exists as its own category in every tier list.
Command Mode vs Twine Mode
Mode choice matters more against bosses than anything else in the game:
The boss-fight default
Twine Mode — fuse with the Aniimo
Direct control means you can dodge telegraphs, position around gimmicks, and land Break skills exactly where they count.
Mobs and leveling
Command Mode — let the Aniimo fight
Fine for mobs and leveling, but it costs you the precision that boss gimmicks punish.
If you've been clearing mobs in Command Mode, don't carry that habit into boss fights — switch to Twine and take the wheel. (The Quick Twine talent makes the swap instant, which is why it's the first passive most builds take.)
Double Counters: Element and Spatial
Bosses have an element tag (Wind, Fire, Dark, and so on), and elements decide roughly half the fight — use the counter chart and you deal dramatically more damage while taking less. The second half is spatial counters: the Ranged → Fly → Pound → Tunnel loop built into attack types. A boss whose spatial type beats your whole team can stall a fight even with elemental advantage. Check both charts before the pull — one team member with the right spatial type can be worth more than an entire elemental shift.
Endgame // 05
Endgame Challenges: Beyond the Field Bosses
Holo-Battle Simulator
The Holo-Battle Simulator is the standing endgame gauntlet: a multi-stage challenge you clear for reward chests at 30 Primegy per chest. It's a repeatable sink for leftover energy and a solid source of upgrade materials once your weekly Omega/Alpha budget is spent. Roguelite-style layers mean the value ramps with how far you can push in one run.
Holo-Battle Interlink
Holo-Battle Interlink is the newest endgame raid — a multi-creature boss encounter designed as the hardest content in the game. It's live in recent builds; exact mechanics and reward tables are still being documented by the community as players push through it, so treat it as the content to aim at once your team is maxed rather than something to farm casually.
Linker Challenges and the Co-op Dungeon
Two more challenge lines round out the endgame: Linker Challenges — duel-style encounters built around your Twine play (the same encounter type the elite versions of Pathfinder Challenges use) — and a co-op dungeon that early coverage describes as a two-player deep-dive. Both pay the standard high-end materials; specific floor lists and gimmicks are still being mapped.
Farming Routes // 06
Drops and Farming Routes
The Drop Map: Which Boss Pays What
| What you need | Fight |
|---|---|
| Evolution stones | The 8 element-stone Alphas (match the element) |
| Resonance Star-Up material | Alpha Tubster / Alpha Magmarex, or Omega Tuckin (×100) |
| Carried Item Cores | Alpha Ignitis / Grizbo / Geoclaw / Minespine / Irisal |
| Held items | Each core Alpha drops its own (Ferocious Fang, Gargantuan Horn, etc.) |
| Star Dust / Star Sand | Alpha Rookey / Luminelle, Young Omega Sherro |
| Starcryst Essence | Omega Infergon |
| Legendary held items | Any core Alpha, but only at Wayfarer II+ (80% epic / 20% legendary) |
Your Primegy Farming Route
Weekly shape: three Omega attempts first (50 Primegy each — the best value in the game), then fill the rest of your budget with the Alphas whose materials you actually need (30 each). Once an Alpha is discovered and defeated, you can teleport straight to it for rematches, so a daily route of two or three specific Alphas is the efficient baseline. And before you spend a single Primegy, confirm your title: if you're below Wayfarer II, legendary drops aren't on the table yet — spend the week pushing your title instead of grinding for gear you can't get.
Mistakes // 07
Common Mistakes to Avoid
01
Farming Alphas before discovering them.
Weekly and daily bosses need to be found and beaten once before they become teleportable rematches — open the map first.
02
Wasting Omega attempts.
Three per week, capped — don't test team comps against Omegas. Bring the counter team and the Break unit.
03
Skipping the Break loop.
No Break unit means boss fights run two to three times longer. It's the whole game.
04
Command Mode in boss fights.
Twine's direct control is what survives gimmicks; leave Command Mode for mobs.
05
Basic pods on Alphas.
6% after defeat — use Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube for guaranteed catches.
06
Grinding legendary gear below Wayfarer II.
You're locked out of legendary drops until then. Push the title first.
07
Ignoring the spatial counter.
Element advantage isn't enough if the boss's spatial type counters your team — one correctly-typed member fixes fights.
FAQ // 08
FAQ
01How many bosses are in Aniimo?
20 field bosses: 17 Alphas and 3 Omegas, plus story bosses and endgame raid content.
02What's the difference between Alpha and Omega?
Alphas are catchable field minibosses fought on repeat; Omegas are weekly-capped (3 tries), have unique gimmicks, can't be caught, and pay much more.
03How do I catch an Alpha?
Defeat it first (0% alive, 6% after defeat), then use the free pod on the timed attempt — Aniipod Ultra or Sparkling Cube guarantees the catch. Rewards drop even on failure.
04Can I catch Omegas?
No. Pods bounce off Omegas; defeating one leaves a reward chest instead.
05How do I win boss fights?
Loop the Break system: fill the meter, trigger Break (×1.5 damage), unload during the window. Use Twine Mode for dodging and positioning, and check both element and spatial counters before the fight.
06Which boss drops what?
Evolution stones come from the eight element Alphas; Dewdrop Crystal from Tubster/Magmarex/Omega Tuckin; carried-item cores and held items from the five core Alphas; Star Dust/Sand from Rookey/Luminelle/Sherro; Starcryst Essence from Omega Infergon.
07When do legendary held items drop?
From Wayfarer II onward — 80% epic / 20% legendary. Below that, you're locked to rare/epic.
08How many times can I fight bosses per week?
Omegas: three attempts. Alpha/Omega weekly challenges: three per week at 50 Primegy each. Alphas themselves are repeatable at 30 Primegy per claim.
09What is the Holo-Battle Simulator?
A standing endgame gauntlet with reward chests at 30 Primegy each — a repeatable sink for extra energy and upgrade materials.
10What's the newest endgame content?
Holo-Battle Interlink, a raid-style boss fight — currently the hardest content in the game, with mechanics still being documented. Linker Challenges and a co-op dungeon round out the endgame.
