Aniimo Progression Guide

The six advancement lines, the 15 main story chapters and the five promotion quests that gate them, every Theory Test answer, side quests worth doing, daily and weekly tasks, Research Levels, and limited-time events. Aniimo's progress is a set of gates stacked on gates: main story opens regions, promotions open content, and level opens quests — and the game never lines them up for you. You'll hit a story quest you can't start, grind blindly, and discover only later that the real unlock was a promotion you skipped.

Six Lines // 01

The Six Progression Lines

The Six-Line Map

Progress in Aniimo isn't one bar — it's six lines running in parallel:

01

Main story

15 chapters that push the story forward and unlock regions and systems.

02

Promotions

Five Growth Quests that raise your world rank.

03

Side quests

Regional tasks paying Fame, materials, and currency.

04

Daily and weekly tasks

The resource rhythm that funds everything else.

05

The codex (Aniilog)

Registration and research that pay Glimmer and accessory slots.

06

Limited-time events

Seasonal content that rotates in and out.

Most players fixate on the main story and ignore the rest — which is exactly how they get stuck. The lines feed each other, and the next five sections go through each one in turn.

World Rank: The Gate on Everything

The thing that actually controls what opens is your world rank, not your level alone. You raise it by taking promotion quests — which boil down to defeating a Badge holder in a duel and then answering Dr. Lewis's questions correctly. Your rank gates story quests, and your level gates ranks, and Elite Training chapters gate promotions. If something won't start, it's one of those three gates, and the sections below give you the exact requirements for every one.

Main Story // 02

Main Story: The 15-Chapter Route

Chapters 1–3: The Tutorial Chain

Ch. 01

An Idyllic Trip

Starts with character creation, then walks you through catching your first Emberpup and using it to burn branches out of the way.

Ch. 02

Aniimo Catching Journey

Has you catch a Celestis, Hummin, and Skippy, then pulls you into an Ancestor Prism.

Ch. 03

The Mysterious Cavern

Where it gets real: after exploring a mural-filled dungeon you choose between Lunara and Helion as your starter guardian, then fight the first boss — The Summoned Helgon, which shifts into a Summoned Infergon second phase that teaches you the Twine mechanic mid-fight.

The opening is a straight tutorial run — three chapters that take you from character creation to your first boss.

Chapters 4–9: Out of the Village to Bloomville

This stretch is where the systems unlock around you.

Institute Initiation

Enrolls you in the Polaris Institution and offers the Prismana Pact (your first Prismana Aniimo choice).

Setting Out Again

Teaches you to activate Blooms, which unlock the map and fast travel.

Chasing the Clouds — the big one

A Twine-based sanctum trial, an evolution tutorial, and a fight against Alpha Turbo, after which you catch it and get promoted to I Student (this is also where Elite Training unlocks).

Bloomville — Ceremony Preparations

Includes a perfume-crafting minigame with a three-way choice that determines which perfume you get.

Iris Petals → Pink Shadow DraughtDewy Feathers → Blue Lake DownFlutternym Scales → Dreamy Mystery

The Unbegun Ceremony — the first hard gate

You need Elite Training Chapter 1, Level 25, and Student II to continue.

Chapters 10–22: Promotions and the Endgame

The second half is a rhythm of story beat → promotion → harder story beat.

Promotion to Grade II Student

A duel against Wally's Grass/Water/Wind team, countered by Fire/Electric/Light.

Fragrant Colors

Throws you into a fight with Alpha Irisal.

Land of Dancing Illusions / Dreams Come True

Culminating in a Level-30 fight with Velouria.

Ancient Sacred Fragrance

Gates on Elite Training Chapter 4, Level 45, and Wayfarer II, and includes a recommended Level-40 fight against Elder Omega Sherro.

Wayfarer II and III promotions

Duels against Aster and then Wendell, who pulls a second phase as a Mysterious Figure at Level 50.

Rainbow of the Ground → A New Journey

The Tideblossom Coast fight against Irelia (recommended Level 55), where you break three mechanisms mid-battle. A New Journey then opens the world to free exploration.

How Main Story Progression Works

Rule 01

Main story quests open regions and systems.

Rule 02

Promotion quests gate which story you can start.

Rule 03

Level gates which promotions you can take.

When the main marker won't start, check your rank first (the missing piece is usually a promotion), then your level, then the Elite Training chapter. The fix is almost always the one you skipped.

Promotions: The 5 Growth Quests and the Theory Test

The Promotion Ladder

I Student

Grade II

Grade III

Wayfarer I

Wayfarer II

Wayfarer III

Five Growth Quests climb the ladder from I Student through Grade II, Grade III, Wayfarer I, and Wayfarer II, to Wayfarer III. Each has the same shape: duel a specific Badge holder in a specific region, return to Dr. Lewis, and pass his exam. The duel opponents and their counters: Wally (Grass/Water/Wind — bring Fire/Electric/Light), Jilly (Fire/Rock/Grass/Wind — Water/Light), Loulla (Dark — Wind/Light), Aster (Grass — Dark/Wind/Fire), and Wendell (Wind/Grass — Fire/Light/Lightning, fought twice with a level jump).

Every Theory Test Answer

Dr. Lewis asks three questions per promotion, in random order. Here are the confirmed answers:

PromotionQuestionAnswer

If you know these, every promotion is just the duel plus a formality.

Side Quests // 04

Side Quests: The Content Beyond the Story

The Side Quest System and Rewards

GlimmerCreditsFameKnowledge (EXP)SafarisIdyll Ancient CoinsSparkling Crystals

Side quests are the second income stream of the game — twenty-plus of them spread across every region, each paying a bundle of Glimmer, Credits, Fame, Knowledge (EXP), Safaris, Idyll Ancient Coins, Sparkling Crystals, and often region-specific materials or items. The "Journey for Fragrance" and "Flowers and Thorns" series repeat per region; others (Warrior, Binding Oath, Fly Free!, the Helmut chain, the Mysterious Anomaly chain) are one-offs with bigger payouts. Fame is the notable addition here — it's awarded by many quests, and while its dedicated spending use isn't fully documented yet, it's clearly part of the long-term progression economy, so don't skip rewards that carry it.

The Side Quests Worth Doing

Prioritize the ones that pay premium currency or rare items:

Warrior

30 Sparkling Crystals, 3 Blaze Stones, and 30,000 Credits.

Family Reunion

An Aniipod Ultra Voucher and Flux Crystals.

Bloomville clue quest

50 Dewdrop Crystals plus Sprout Stones and a Life Force Seed.

Helmut's Island Adventure

A whole Aniipod Ultra — and its sequel Nightfall Tales.

The Mysterious Anomaly chain

Starting at the glitch sign outside ChillBeanz (200 Voxel Coins and 60,000 Credits), which leads into the Super Claw Malfunction quest paying Track, Tumbler, and Hyper pods.

Those pay more than most main story milestones.

How Side Quests Unlock

Most side quests start by simply being in the right region — they drop into your quest list automatically as you approach, or trigger a cutscene. Beyond that, the same gate system applies: higher world rank unlocks more quests, and a few are locked behind specific story progress (the A Fragrant Dream quest, for example, needs A New Journey finished, and Binding Oath needs the Tuckin fight from Ancient Sacred Fragrance done). Do them as they appear rather than banking them — they're the leveling engine that keeps your rank climbing toward the next gate.

Routine // 05

Daily and Weekly Tasks: Your Routine

The Five Dailies

01

claim the Institute Guide's daily reward

02

Spend 60 Primegy

03

Catch 5 Aniimo

04

Earn 50 Windborn Stamps

feeding the Stamp Rush toward the Stamp Shop

05

Buy one item

The daily reset runs at 4:00 AM ET, and the checklist is five items: log in (claim the Institute Guide's daily reward), spend 60 Primegy, catch 5 Aniimo, earn 50 Windborn Stamps (feeding the Stamp Rush toward the Stamp Shop), and buy one item. Clearing them pays the daily Glimmer milestone, a chunk of EXP, and keeps your Stamp income flowing. It's ten minutes of routine for the resources that quietly fund the rest of your week.

Weeklies and Social Events

On top of the dailies: the weekly Omega/Alpha challenges (three per week at 50 Primegy each) pay the Resonance Star-Up and Capability Awakening materials; the Battle Pass weeklies ask for 200 Primegy spent, 30 catches, and 3 login days; and the Star-Crossed Tea Party is the recurring social activity. The weekly shape is what it's always been in this game — the Omegas first, then the pass missions, then whatever materials you're short on.

The Codex // 06

The Codex: Aniilog and Research Levels

Aniilog Registration

The Aniilog is your species encyclopedia, and registration is a real income stream: submit your catch reports at a Research Console, and each Aniilog level-up pays 100 Glimmer. It also feeds the Research Expert talent's bonus on report payouts. If you're free-to-play, this is one of the quiet sources of premium currency — keep reporting everything you catch.

Research Levels: Field Notes and Topics

Bronze

2 slots

Silver

3 slots

Gold

4 slots

Prismatic

5 slots

Beyond the global Aniilog, each individual species has a four-tier Research Level — Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Prismatic — and each tier expands that species' accessory slots (2, 3, 4, then 5 at Prismatic). That's the whole point: higher research on a species lets you equip more Aniimo accessories on it. Raise a species' research by completing its Field Notes (photos of that species, specific Sanctums, and other per-species tasks) and its Topics, which occasionally also drop Sparkling Crystals, Starcryst Essences, and Morph Orbs. If you're building a carry, researching its species is part of gearing it.

Events // 07

Limited-Time Events

Event Types

Prismana Pact

The Prismana selection offered during the main story.

Seasonal egg-hunting events

Like the one tied to Operation: Egg Heist.

Star-Crossed Tea Party

The recurring social event.

Battle Pass seasons

Run on their own schedule.

Aniimo runs a rotating event roster, and each brings limited-time sources of eggs, materials, and cosmetics that don't come back on demand.

Event and Version Rhythm

The reliable rhythm is the Battle Pass season (every few weeks, with the Advanced and Keepsakes tiers) and the limited-time shop bundles that appear alongside major updates. The exact current event list changes with each version, so treat the specific lineup as a thing to check in-game rather than a static list — but the shape (story event + seasonal activity + pass) is consistent.

Mistakes // 08

Common Mistakes to Avoid

01

Rushing only the main story.

It gates on rank, level, and Elite Training chapters — when it won't start, a side quest or promotion is the missing key.

02

Skipping promotion quests.

Rank is the master gate; without promotions, the story hard-stops.

03

Failing the Theory Test repeatedly.

The answers are in the table above — you can't "grind" past it, so just answer correctly.

04

Ignoring Elite Training chapters.

Promotions require specific chapters, not just levels.

05

Banking side quests.

They're the leveling engine and pay premium currency — do them as they appear.

06

Not reporting to the Aniilog.

100 Glimmer per level plus accessory slots is free value.

07

Missing dailies.

30 Glimmer, EXP, an egg, and Stamps for ten minutes — the highest value-per-minute content in the game.

FAQ // 09

FAQ

01How many main story chapters are there?

15 main story quests plus 5 promotion (Growth) quests — the promotion quests gate the later story.

02How does main story progression work?

Main quests open regions and systems; promotion quests gate which story you can start; level and Elite Training chapters gate the promotions. All three gates must line up.

03What's the first boss?

The Summoned Helgon, which shifts into a Summoned Infergon second phase during the tutorial.

04How do I get promoted?

Complete the promotion quest: duel the region's Badge holder, then answer Dr. Lewis's three questions correctly (answers above).

05What are the Theory Test answers?

The full table is above — the repeated pattern is "All of the Above" and "Defeating Alpha Aniimo" for material sources.

06I'm stuck and can't start the next story quest. What's wrong?

Check your rank first (missing promotion), then your level, then the required Elite Training chapter — one of the three is behind.

07Which side quests are worth doing?

Warrior, Family Reunion, the Bloomville crystal quest, Helmut's Island Adventure, and the Mysterious Anomaly chain pay the best (Aniipod Ultra, 30+ Sparkling Crystals, 50 Dewdrop Crystals).

08What should I do every day?

The five dailies (login, 60 Primegy, 5 catches, 50 Stamps, one purchase), then weekly Omegas (50 Primegy each) and the pass weeklies.

09What are Research Levels?

Four tiers per species (Bronze→Prismatic) that expand that species' accessory slots from 2 to 5. Raise them via Field Notes and Topics.

10What limited-time events are there?

The Prismana Pact, seasonal egg events, the Star-Crossed Tea Party, and Battle Pass seasons — the exact list rotates each version.
